Dresden - City of Art & Culture
Dresden is a cultural metropolis with world-famous museums such as the Old Masters Picture Gallery and the Green Vault. The impressive Semper Opera House and the Frauenkirche dominate the cityscape, while the baroque quarter invites you to take a stroll.
Castles, bridges and vineyards line the picturesque waterway during a steamboat trip to Pillnitz Palace and Park. The Moritzburg hunting lodge can be reached in a very romantic way on the "Lössnitzdackel", a nostalgic narrow-gauge train.
A visit to the nearby Elbe Sandstone Mountains of Saxon Switzerland is another highlight not to be missed.
Location & approach
The Bülow Residenz is ideally located in the heart of the historic baroque district, just a few steps away from Dresden's top attractions such as the Semper Opera House and Frauenkirche. Getting here is easy thanks to good highway connections. Dresden-Neustadt train station is within walking distance, and Dresden International Airport is also well connected.
For cyclists, the Elbe cycle path is close by. As a certified adfc 'bett + bike' hotel, we offer bicycle storage, repair kits and cycling maps. If you arrive by car, there are public parking spaces in front of the hotel, which are subject to charges on weekdays. You are also welcome to use the underground parking garage of our partner hotel Bülow Palais (100m away).

Our history
The Bülow Residenz building, a baroque mansion, was built in 1730 by Johann Gottfried Fehre in the "New Royal City". It is located in Rähnitzgasse, one of the oldest preserved streets in the baroque quarter, and in the immediate vicinity of the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Bülow Palais and the Dreikönigskirche church.
In the early 1990s, the Bülow family of entrepreneurs from Stuttgart lovingly transformed the once badly damaged property into a hotel. During the extensive restoration, great attention was paid to detail, which means that the rooms today retain a unique historical atmosphere with numerous antiques, paintings and precious Meissen porcelain. Since 2016, the Bülow Residenz has also been part of the renowned ROMANTIK Hotels & Restaurants cooperation.
