At Bülow Residenz, we are committed to providing a warm and inclusive experience for all guests - both onsite and online. We recognize the diverse needs of our visitors andneeds of our visitors and are actively working to make our websiteaccessible and user-friendly for all users, including people with disabilities.

Our approach to digital accessibility

We are guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA as the standard for digital accessibility. These guidelines help us to ensure that our website:

  • is understandable and navigable for screen reader users
  • is fully operable via the keyboard
  • works reliably on both desktop and mobile devices

We carry out regular tests with Silktide, axe DevTools and WAVE and combine automated checks with manual checks to identify and eliminate barriers.

Current status

Based on our latest review, the website of Bülow Residenz is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA. This means that many accessibility requirements are met, but some improvements are still necessary.

Currently in progress:

  • Addition of missing labels for form fields for better support of screen readers
  • Elimination of multiple HTML ID attributes
  • Improvement of the semantic structure and field descriptions
  • Clear labeling of links that currently look the same but lead to different content

All identified issues are scheduled for resolution and monitored continuously.

External content and functions

Some functions of our website - such as booking systems, translation tools or accessibility overlays - are based on third-party services. We take care to integrate solutions that are as accessible as possible, but cannot guarantee the complete accessibility of these external components. We check these regularly and work on improvements.
